Limited Snow Year Bodes Well For Fishermen

2014 was a low water year primarily due to the limited snow pack through the 2013-14 winter months.  Our Bristol Bay and Kuskowkwim rivers were far more capable of handling the heavy rains that typically occur through the summer months.  The 2014 result was low water with accessible fish and rivers that cleared quickly.  The 2014-15 winter proved to be the same and we are expecting exceptional fishing to rival or exceed 2014.  The sockeye salmon runs are rising and the silver salmon runs last year exceeded already high expectations.  Put the low water together with good salmon runs and 2015 is shaping up to be one of our best years in recent history.  King Salmon are the one down side and we will not be targeting these fish this year.
